After our celebration in the year 2008 we again took to the seas in search of fortune and infamy. Not far did we sail before we sighted an armada of warships sent by King George II to take us down to Davey Jones' locker. In our heroic battle with the armada we set three of their ships ablaze, but from the holds of the Black Shenanigan burst a score of ninjas. We defeated the cowardly assassins but were forced to give up the battle and flee around the horn due to the damage to our rigging.
Having escaped the armada, we're now stranded on the shores of the Galápagos Islands. Repairs to the Black Shenanigan are underway but for now we live life on this strange and beautiful paradise with exotic creatures and a fine saucy crew.
Arrr me mateys, yo-ho!
The crew of the Black Shenanigan bravely swaggers on.

UPDATE! Parking will be very limited this year. In order to encourage carpooling we will be giving a discount on the pirate fest fees. If you are alone in your car, the fee is the normal $20. If you bring 2 it is $15 each. 3+ is $10 each. If you are dropped off and your driver leaves with the car it is $5. This fee is in addition to any parking fee that you may have to pay to the park. In order to continue to hold this event, everyone is required to pay the fee to Cabin Boy Randall.
Bring their own camping gear, food, games and beverages (rum, mixers and ice are a great idea for the grog keg). Additionally there is a pirate's feast on Saturday evening that you should bring a dish for. Pirate Regalia is HIGHLY recommended. If you are not wearing pirate regalia, you will be the odd looking one and your grog will be rationed. No filthy ninjas allowed!
Kids are a great idea, if the parents are okay with their kids being around drunk pirates with real swords. Take heed, complaints about noise and acting inappropriately (pirate-like) will go unheeded!
There are coin-operated showers this year and you will not need to bring firewood!
Welcome aboard matey!
